LIVE IN LONG ISLAND
1. Intro 0.42
Total time: 64:46
This is an extremely rare soundboard recording with Baby Grand. As far as I know this is the only live show with them which has been recorded. The show was just after they had released their second LP "Ancient Medicine" around Christmas time 1977 or 1978. They play 10 songs of which 9 are from the two Baby Grand LPs. 3 of the 9 songs are from the first LP and the other 6 from the second and last LP. Very good versions of "Never Enough" and "Alligator Drive". There is quite a long piano intro to "Walk Away Renée" played by Rob Hyman. "Lightning Strikes" is a cover song by Lou Christie (originally his name was Lugee Sacco, born 1943 in Glen Willard, Pennsylvania), he had a #1 hit in USA with this song back in 1965. Rob is joking about this during the show offering 5 dollars to anyone who knows the original performer of this song. So Rob if you read this you owe me 5 dollars! The members of Baby Grand was Eric Bazilian (guitar), Rob Hyman (keyboards), David Kagan (lead vocals), David Prater (drums) and Carmine Rojas (bass).
Excellent remastered sound. Available on one CD-R.
