The first disc is a radio broadcast from Oslo, Norway. The show was at the Rockefeller Music Hall and it is a rather small club. About 1200 people maximum capacity. They visited Norway a couple of years earlier too, their first concert ever in Europe in fact as Eric points out when he talks to the audience between songs. It is quite a lot of talking. Includes good soundboard versions of "Engine 999", "You Never Know Who Your Friends Are", "Mr. Big Baboon" and the Dylan classic "Mr. Tambourine Man". They also improvise and play a piece of "Lambada" which was a big hit on the radio that year. The three tracks on the second disc is an audience recording from the same show. These songs were never broadcasted on the radio. The sound quality on them are not as good as the rest, they suffer a bit from "wobbly" sound. But still nice to listen to. The interview at the end is with Eric Bazilian and David Uosikkinen. It was done at the Plaza Hotel in Oslo the same day as the concert took place. It was supposed to be with the whole band for Radio Young, but a misunderstanding by the management led to an interview with only two of the band members. The interviewer brought the UK version of the "And We Danced" single to get autographs on it. It turned out that Eric and David had never seen the cover of this before, and went bananas as this was what they had wanted for the US cover. You can hear this at the end of the interview. I would only recommend the first of these two CDs because of the wobbly sound on the audience recording, unless you are a die hard fan who wants everything. But the interview is nice. The sound quality is good on the first disc but has got some problems in the beginning, shifting from stereo to mono on "Day By Day" and at some other places. Plus missing a second or two at times as well. That is why I gave it 9+ in rating. But I like the mixing of the instruments a lot. To sum up this I would say that I like this concert a lot and recommend it even though the sound is not perfect. An enjoyable concert to listen to! Available on two CD-R.
